Hideaway Island – 18/9/2011

We spent Uncle Brendon and Cousin Evie’s last night onshore on Hideaway Island, enjoying a Melanesian Feast.  The girls got dressed up and we were given flower headdresses on our arrival.  We had a buffet dinner, followed by the Jiparjiroa string band and the traditional village dance.

Even Flat Stanley (Max’s English assignment) came with us.

Tourist Information

The Melanesian Feast is held each Thursday night.  The Cost is 2650 vt per adult and 1650 vt per child, aged 5 to 12 years old.
